Sudbury Tackle Co. Gatchell, ON. This is another company that the word speculation applies to when trying to determine its' history. We guess that they were in existence somewhere in the 1940' s or 1950's. It has been theorized that the Sudbury Tackle Company started up soon after Tougas & Charlebois went out of business. The company produced a lake trout wire line trolling rod and reel combination. They also produced nickel plated trolling spoons. More interesting were the copper spinners (pictured) with wooden bodies and a unique blade that rotated around the wood body. The blade had the name and location of the company stamped on them making identification the easiest historical element of this company. The spinners and spoons came packaged in a plain white two piece cardboard box. I would love to see more pictures of these lures, and get a shot of the box they came in.
