Steven's Agencies

Toronto, Ontario

The "Roger's Dragonfly," as shown at the top, was distributed by Steven's Agenicies of Toronto, Canada....that's about all anyone knows. Whether or not Steven's Agencies manufactured the lure or not is still a mystery. The dragonfly is a beautifully manufactured lure that has very fragile metal wings (apparently, there are copies of these lures around that still have wing material covering them), and equally fragile metal legs that have tiny treble hooks hanging from them as shown in the picture. There is a small propellor on the tail of the thin-bodied lure as well to give it increased action in the water. I can't imagine this lure had a large production run considering how long it would take before the angler would have one ripped apart by a big enough fish. The lure on the bottom is a crawfish type lure with almost identical hook hangers and hardware and the paint finish seems to match up. There are 2 variations known of this lure. The one shown with 2 hooks hanging out the side, and the other version with a single hook attached to a thin wire running along the belly. Great little lures, but probably better as show lures than functional fishing lures.
