Ideal Fishing Tackle Co. Toronto, Ontario There really doesn't seem to be very much information on this tackle company and I am hoping someone out there will be able to shed some light. As far as anyone knows, this company produced tackle in the 30's and 40's according to the style of hardware, the graphics on their lure boxes and the paint they used. Unfortunately, their paint does not seem to stand the test of time well as most lures that have been discovered by this company have cracks, chips or crazing on the body. It is very difficult to find one of these lures in EX+ condition. The pikie style lure on the bottom has an unusual metal lip that has a small line tie punched and bent out. These lures came in straight and jointed bodies with pressed eyes and various colour schemes. The lures at the top of the picture have been called the "banana" style baits and came in different paint schemes and sizes as well. | Assorted Ideal Fishing Tackle Co. Wooden Lures
