Wooden and Glass Eye Little Scamp from the collection of Matt Livings

Lucky Strike Little Scamp

It is believed that the "Little Scamp Minnow" pictured here, was the first design ordered by Direct Factory Sales in Toronto. This lure came in many colours and also came with and without glass eyes. The lips were not stamped with the Lucky Strike Logo or name.

Tougher to find Lucky Strike Little Scamp with a tail treble hook that has been replaced with a tack nail and an interesting shore pattern to boot.

Lucky Strike Chub Minnow

According to both a 1953 and a 1968 Lucky Strike catalogue, it would appear that these lures were in production for much longer than most people thought. It seems as though these lures were offered for about 15 years, but I'm not sure they were a big seller because they don't seem to show up all that often. The 5100 series Chub minnow was jointed, while the 5200 series was single bodied.

Tough Lucky Strike Allen Stripey Salmon Plug

Shown here is a beautiful Wooden with tack eye Lucky Strike salmon plug that was not produced for long.  It has been suggested that this lure was created for the west coast fisherman by Frank Edgar as he made many trips to B.C. for its renown salmon fishing.

The Lucky Strike Fury Spoon. These lures seem to have been offered in the late 60's as they can be seen in the 1967 and 1968 catalogue.
