Hex Lure Colour Codes

Here is a glossary of box end codes that was identified in Jim Willis' book on the history of Hex Lures. This list is not entirely exhaustive as other colour combinations have surfaced that are not shown below. Whenever a bunty is mention it refers to not only the Bunty, but the Jointed Bunty and the Actionette. I hope this helps identify some of your lure colours and figure out what your box end codes mean.

The following coding chart was introduced during the 1950's to replace the old chart and stipulate that all lures were available in the following colours:
