Heddon - Preston & Cambridge |
James Heddon's Sons Canada Limited Preston/Cambridge There really isn't a lot to the story here but interesting to note just how many huge American tackle firms set up franchise operations north of the border (obviously tapping into the popular Canadian fishing market). It appears that James Heddon and Sons were looking to make more of an impact on the Canadian market or were looking to cut costs by locating a branch company in Preston, Ontario, and later to Cambridge under the Daisy name. Most of the boxes marked with Preston or Cambridge suggest that the branch locations were set up fairly recently (60's - 80's). This can safely be assumed by judging the lures that came in the Ontario boxes (often plastic) and the text type and font used to market their product. | James Heddon's Sons Preston Lure Box
