     The history for this neat old lure is non-existent at the present time, but by the looks of the hardware and stamping, it is probably from the late 1800's.  It makes me wonder if J.P. Moore was another jeweler or other merchant who decided to dabble in tackle, or if these pieces were produced elsewhere and sold in-house by J.P. Moore.  This lure comes from the collection of Jason Halliday and it is not known if there are more out there, but I would welcome more pictures and any chance to have a piece like this in my collection.  Thanks again for sharing Jason.
